A hold is a request by a user to be the next borrower when an item is returned.

Users can request a book to be on hold via:

  • Online. Upon logging-in to your library account, search for the title, click on it, then click on the "Request" icon at the top left corner of the page. 
  • Phone (+974) 4403-4096/7 
  • The Circulation desk (Males - 2nd floor/ Females - 1st floor).

A Hold Arrival Notice will be sent to the patron once the book is checked-in at the Circulation Desk, and will be reserved for 3 days, after which the item will be re-shelved if not picked up.
